I oppose the proposed cuts to Maine Career and Technical Education (CTE) Schools. As a legislator, I would encourage introducing hands-on opportunities for children to learn science and technology as far back as Elementary School.
All high schools should return to having facilities and a curriculum available to teach technology. If they choose to, a high school graduate should be proficient in the basic maintenance of vehicles, homes, and computers making them more hirable and self-sufficient.
