We moved to Saco in the late ’60s and remembered seeing Camp Ellis’s beach damage after numerous Nor’ easters. I can’t believe we are still dealing with this human-made problem in 2020. This is a Saco Bay issue with its shifting beach sands affecting Scarborough, Old Orchard Beach, Saco, and Ferry Beach State Park. The problem also straddles York & Cumberland Counties. I would encourage the State of Maine to provide the resources and bring all six of these entities together as one to deal with this problem.
